Job summary

Complete Care at Meriden is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a 32-hour day shift in Meriden, CT. The position supports a beautiful, newly renovated facility with a great team and union benefits.

You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform repairs, and maintain building systems while following safety rules and procedures. Prior long-term care experience is preferred though not required; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Computer knowledge.
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot building mechanical problems.
• Perform miscellaneous repairs, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on equipment ensuring satisfactory operations.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, various heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
• Follow established safety rules, policies, and procedures of the maintenance department.
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Administrator.
