Purpose:

Assists the Maintenance Department to ensure that the facility is safe, attractive, and well-maintained.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Relevant work experience (2+ years preferred)
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Basic reporting and organizational skills
• Capable of maintaining proper attendance

Essential Functions:

• Maintain the routine maintenance needs of the facility and residents as if they were your own
• Assist with fire and life safety training and drills
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests via reports and logs
• Ensure 24-hour response time for maintenance requests
• Perform minor repairs
• Maintain the facility's mechanical safety, appearance, and cleanliness, including patching, painting, repair, and floor care
• Maintain grounds, building exterior and interior, signage, and landscaping throughout the year
