Job summary

Brighton Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis, with on-call rotations. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors in a 78-bed sub-acute and long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years general maintenance experience required.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Carry out minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review work orders and complete tasks promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident spaces and facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves and general maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot issues to support resident safety and comfort.

Join our team at Brighton Post Acute as a Maintenance Assistant.

Part-time on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays; this position also requires an on-call rotation

$ 18 to $20 an hour

Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant:

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
