Whiting Gardens Rehab Center, a premier skilled nursing facility in Ocean County, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant. You will help maintain safety for residents and staff by repairing buildings and furnishings, and managing grounds upkeep including lawn care and snow removal.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 yrs. age
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related work experience required
• Basic knowledge of tools and their use
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and painting skills
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures.
• Manages heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
• Plans and schedules repairs to the premises as needed.
• Conducts periodic quality checks on equipment and HVAC systems to ensure systems are compliant with appropriate legal and industry standards.
• Performs general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of facility.
• Upkeep of grounds, including lawn care and snow ice removal.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Whiting Gardens Rehab Center, a premier skilled nursing facility located in Ocean County, New Jersey is currently seeking a full time Maintenance Assistant. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring resident and staff safety by being responsible for repairs to the buildings and furnishings, as well as up-keep of the grounds including lawn care and snow/ice removal.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures.
• Manages heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
• Plans and schedules repairs to the premises as needed.
• Conducts periodic quality checks on equipment and HVAC systems to ensure systems are compliant with appropriate legal and industry standards.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend and crawl into awkward spaces.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
