Job summary

Sonida Senior Living in Macedonia, OH is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support independent living and assisted living residents. You will respond to work orders, repair plumbing, electrical and appliances, and maintain HVAC and building systems to keep common areas safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident requests through the established work order program repairing plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
• Performs daily light bulb walk around/inspection ensuring that all public area light bulbs are operable and working.
• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis for the building to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment issues.
• Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
• Performs daily and as assigned painting projects for all common and office area.
