Job summary

Luverne Health and Rehabilitation LLC in Luverne, AL, seeks a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the facility grounds and assist with general maintenance tasks inside and outside the building. Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, you will ensure safe, clean, and well-functioning spaces for residents, staff, and visitors.

Minimum of one year of related field experience and ability to read schedules and work independently is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in a related field
• Ability to interpret instructions in written or oral form
• Ability to organize work schedules to meet work order demands
• Ability to work independently with initiative
• Excellent patience and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be capable of performing essential job functions and physical requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility grounds and assists with general maintenance inside and outside the facility
• Reports to the Maintenance Director and follows safety procedures

Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining the facility grounds and assisting with general maintenance services inside and outside the facility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, painting etc. Minimum of one (1) year experience in related field
• Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written or oral diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to organize work schedule to meet work order demands
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be capable of performing the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB FUNCTIONS
