Epic Healthcare in Toms River, NJ is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to perform basic maintenance, assist with painting, groundskeeping, and handle routine work orders to keep the facility safe and comfortable for residents and staff. Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or laundry in a healthcare setting or long-term care is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time well.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Assist with painting, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks.
• Complete work orders promptly.
• Clean common areas, resident rooms, and facility spaces.
• Handle laundry duties: wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order throughout the facility.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Support a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.
