Position Overview

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining the grounds, building, and equipment of our health campus in a safe and effective manner to ensure the health, welfare, safety, and satisfaction of residents. The role involves organizing, developing, and assisting with the operations of the Maintenance Department in accordance with regulations, as instructed by the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds, building, and equipment of the health campus.
• Perform daily rounds to identify and address maintenance, equipment, and safety concerns.
• Perform repairs on equipment, building, and grounds as needed.
• Assist with the operation of the Maintenance Department according to regulations.
• Assist with driving the health campus bus for maintenance or resident trips as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Ability to operate a large van or bus safely and efficiently
• Meet state requirements for transporting residents, including proper licensing and certifications
• For Kentucky applicants: Must complete a DOT physical before providing transportation services
