Job summary

Complete Care at Bayshore is hiring a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time day shift. The role involves performing routine and preventative maintenance across the facility, addressing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, and ensuring Life Safety systems stay compliant.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Assistant, Maintenance Technician, or in building maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with Life Safety systems and Life Safety Code compliance is required.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation facility is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance and preventative maintenance throughout the facility.
  • Complete repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Assist with the inspection, testing, and maintenance of Life Safety systems, including fire alarm, sprinkler, emergency lighting, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Help maintain compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, state, and federal regulations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and building systems to ensure safe operation.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Assist with inspections, repairs, and facility improvement projects.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Follow all safety regulations and maintenance procedures.
  • Support the Maintenance Director with daily operations and special projects.
