Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when performing routine tasks in resident living areas.
Perform other related duties as necessary or as directed by your supervisor, department director, or administrator.
Maintain confidentiality of resident's protected health information and report any suspected or known violations promptly to the Administrator.
Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed or called.
Complete specific tasks according to daily work assignments.
File complaints or grievances with your supervisor.
Follow maintenance schedules and instructions provided by your supervisor, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., including cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, as directed.
Carry out routine repairs on the facility and equipment, such as plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks, following established procedures.
Clean windows and screens as directed.
Replace burned-out light bulbs, including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, and room call lights, and perform cleaning duties as necessary.
Service heating and cooling units/systems per manufacturer instructions and established policies.
Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
Ensure maintenance supplies are replenished in work areas as needed.
Maintain the facility and its equipment to ensure resident comfort and convenience.
Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns promptly to your supervisor.
Follow safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
Assist with lifting heavy equipment or supplies as needed.
Clean and properly store equipment at the end of each shift.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information.
Report any known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of resident information.
