Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Maintenance Assistant:

• Perform technical maintenance tasks proficiently.
• Be energetic, professional, and reliable.
• Make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
• Follow maintenance schedules and instructions from your supervisor, adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., including cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc.
• Repair and maintain the facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical tasks, etc., as directed.
• Clean windows and screens as directed.
• Replace burned-out light bulbs, including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties as needed.
• Service heating and cooling units and systems per manufacturer specifications and policies.
• Handle unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
• Turn in all found articles to your supervisor.
