The Maintenance Assistant will work under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor, assisting with periodic inspections, replacing seals, filters, light bulbs, and changing machine coolant. Minor repairs on plant equipment, such as belts and pulleys, are also part of the responsibilities. The employee will contribute to the plant's Preventive Maintenance program by accurately recording maintenance activities for various machinery and equipment.

The role includes assisting Millwrights, Electricians, or other technicians with the installation or repair of plant machinery or equipment. The employee must notify supervisors of tools and supplies needed and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
