Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our Chico, CA community. In this full-time role, you will support the Maintenance Director with repairs, building and grounds upkeep, and routine upkeep to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with safety tests, and help keep the facility compliant with licensing requirements. A positive attitude and excellent customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting the maintenance team in repairs and alterations.
• Routine preventative maintenance and janitorial duties to standard.
• Assist with safety tests (Fire Alarm, pull cords, fire extinguishers, etc.).
• Must have positive attitude and excellent customer service.
• Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass health screens (Physical, TB, Drug test).
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days.
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or willing to get vaccinated.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the Maintenance Director in repairs and grounds upkeep.
• Routinely inspect the facility and perform preventative maintenance and janitorial duties to standard.
• Assist in the monitoring, safety tests, and logging of safety equipment (fire alarms, extinguishers, etc.).
• Maintain a positive, courteous attitude and deliver excellent customer service to residents and staff.
• Support building operations to ensure licensing compliance and a safe environment.

What we need from you:

• Provide assistance to the Maintenance Director in repairs and alterations to the building, maintains building and grounds, other maintenance needs, etc.


• Routinely inspects the physical plant and provides routine preventative maintenance and janitorial duties within acceptable standards of practice.


• Assist in the performance, monitoring, preventative maintenance, and logging of safety tests (Fire Alarm, pull cords, fire extinguishers, etc.)
