Job summary

Fundamental in Cheraw, SC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping our facility safe, welcoming, and well-maintained for patients and families. You will participate in painting, light carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks, grounds maintenance, and preventive maintenance, with a focus on safety and compliance.

A high school diploma or GED is required; HVAC certification is a plus, and reliable transportation is essential.

The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that our grounds exceed the expectations of our patients and their families while they are in our care.

Shift: 1st shift 8a-4:30p

Posted Salary Range

USD $16.00 - $19.00 per hour.

Wage Commensuration

This role's wage range considers skill sets, experience, education, certifications, and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times
• Participate in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
• Knowledgeable on various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required, HVAC certification a plus
• Knowledge of safety regulations required
• Reliable source of transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Maintenance experience preferred; especially in a healthcare facility
