Job summary

Coral Harbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform routine upkeep, repairs, and safety checks in a 106-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility. The role supports resident comfort and staff efficiency with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Daily pay is offered. The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of maintenance experience, with preference for skilled nursing facility exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
