Job summary

Coral Harbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our facility safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff. The role includes daily rounds, minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and cosmetic repairs, reviewing work orders, and collaborating with teams to improve resident living spaces while ensuring safety standards are met.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of general maintenance experience in painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• Healthcare facility maintenance experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily physical rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review maintenance request logs and complete work orders promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident living spaces and environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot issues quickly to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Daily Pay!

$19-$19.50/hour (all inclusive)

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Assistant:

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.

• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.

• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.

• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.

• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.

• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).

• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.

• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
