Job summary

NHS Management, LLC in Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the facility grounds and assist with general maintenance tasks inside and outside the building. You will support the Maintenance Director, perform hands-on repairs, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

You should have basic skills in mechanics, carpentry, electrical work, and painting, plus the ability to read schedules and work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in related field.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written or oral diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to organize work schedule to meet work order demands.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be capable of performing the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB FUNCTIONS.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Director.
