Job summary

Conectiv Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Department in a fast-paced distribution environment in Memphis. You will manage daily maintenance, schedule work orders, and drive safety and reliability of equipment across the warehouse.

The role requires 5+ years of supervisory maintenance experience, strong leadership, and hands-on expertise with electrical, mechanical, conveyors, and automation systems in a distribution setting.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of related supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, and systems.
  • 5–7 years of relevant maintenance or industrial experience.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with electrical, mechanical, conveyor and automation systems in a distribution setting.
  • Strong understanding of conveyor systems, ASRS, PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulics, and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to manage maintenance and capital projects with minimal disruption to warehouse and distribution operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and automated systems in a high‑volume logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department in a Distribution and Logistics environment. This includes managing all urgent and emergency maintenance work for the current week, developing the future work “scheduling bucket” based on available labor hours, and ensuring completion of all scheduled maintenance activities. This role also oversees technicians, assigns work orders, and ensures daily task execution is completed safely and efficiently.

  • Support and follow established best practices through Management System initiatives, including ISO and company standards
  • Support key operational performance indicators defined by local leadership and maintenance system requirements
  • Provide ongoing technical training to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support best-in-class distribution operations
  • Apply continuous improvement and root cause analysis methods to improve asset reliability and reduce recurring equipment failures
  • Manage, track, and prioritize both planned and unplanned maintenance work through direct reports
  • Oversee scheduling, planning, safety, technical training, and parts room support to ensure efficient warehouse and distribution operations
  • Partner with Risk Management on contractor safety and compliance requirements
  • Support all quality, safety, and operational compliance initiatives within the distribution center
  • Manage small internal and capital projects, including contractor coordination, vendor scheduling, and minimizing disruption to warehouse operations
  • Lead and supervise maintenance staff by setting expectations, communicating priorities, and ensuring safety compliance
  • Develop team members through coaching, performance management, and technical training
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining operational efficiency and customer service focus
  • Promote company values and support a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork

Required Education and Experience:

Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5 plus years of related supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to manage maintenance and capital projects with minimal disruption to warehouse and distribution operations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and automated systems in a high‑volume logistics environment
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced distribution center with shifting priorities and time‑sensitive demands
  • Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and off‑shifts to support operational needs
  • Ability to work in warehouse conditions including noise, temperature variations, and material handling environments requiring PPE

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop assigned staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Lead team to meet or exceed service‑level agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and onboarding of employees.
  • Assign and direct daily work, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and discipline as needed.
  • Serve as escalation point for issue resolution and employee concerns.
  • Primarily operates in a warehouse environment.
  • Requires flexibility to adapt between warehouse floor activities and administrative tasks.
  • Regular use of office equipment, tablets, scanners, and related tools.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Frequent use of hands to handle products and equipment.
  • Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Requires ability to see close, distant, and peripheral, as well as adjust focus.

Travel

  • No travel is expected for this position.
