Job summary

Motus Integrated Technologies - Maplewood is offering a structured Maintenance Apprenticeship designed to develop skilled trades professionals through hands-on training, mentorship, and formal coursework. The apprentice will rotate through electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines, progressing toward journeyman certification.

You will assist journeyman technicians with preventive and corrective maintenance on automotive manufacturing equipment, read schematics, and learn PLCs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in a registered apprenticeship program is required.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical concepts.
• Must read blueprints, schematics or drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Shift work including weekends/overtime may be required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machinery, robotic cells, conveyors, presses, and assembly lines under supervision.
• Triage and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect wear components and replace as needed.
• Support line restarts to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Complete work orders and maintenance logs in CMMS.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures; participate in safety trainings and 5S housekeeping.
