Brief Description:
This position is crucial for ensuring smooth operation of our machinery and overall facility maintenance. The position is under limited supervision and requires the ability to keep plant machinery in good working order. This requires the ability to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and problem-solve for various manufacturing machines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Keep plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair
  • Examine machines to diagnose, troubleshoot, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines, and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
  • May occasionally make replacement parts
  • Cleaning filters and elements and completing preventative maintenance on coolant systems and mist collection components
  • Changing or adding oils and lubricants to production equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and organized tools and maintenance area
  • Read, interpret, and follow instructions from operation manuals
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and safety standards
  • Work with OEM machine service to solve and repair machine issues
What skills and experience are needed:
  • Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.+
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
  • 3 years of preventive and proactive industrial maintenance experience, preferred but not required
  • Strongly preferred candidates have previous experience with CNC equipment repair. Highly preferred candidate has experience with grinders such as Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, etc.
  • General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools
  • Willingness to bring new ideas and potential efficiencies to the management team
Work Environment:Well-lit machine shop with moderate noise. Must be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing. Will be occasionally lifting and working inside of machines.
