Job summary

Mars, Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice in Aurora, Nebraska to learn Progressive Maintenance (PM) and provide technical support to meet safety, quality and efficiency targets on the production floor.

You will work with technicians, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in focused improvement teams while developing Autonomous Maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass drug and background screen.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in challenging conditions (heat, cold, heights, confined spaces).
• Able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders/ stairs.
• Previous maintenance experience or technical education.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Mars safety culture and engagement.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and electrical panels.
• Document PMs and work orders in SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on plant equipment.
• Assist in equipment setup and changeovers to meet targets.
• Support Focused Improvement Teams to reduce losses.
