Job summary

Mars, Incorporated in Aurora, Nebraska, is seeking a Technical Resource Apprentice to learn how to deliver safety, quality, and efficiency targets on the production floor through Progressive Maintenance and technical support.

You will lead root-cause problem solving with technicians, participate in IWS/FMOS training, and help maintain running equipment while repairing parts. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience or technical education required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely.
• Able to deal with ambiguity effectively.
• Successful completion of a drug and background screen.
• Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions.
• Have full mobility with the ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and Mars 5 Principles.
• Coach Mars safety standards, tools, and techniques.
• Identify, evaluate, and eliminate safety risks using behavior-based safety programs and near-miss reporting.
• Perform mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance on various equipment and electrical panels.
• Document preventative maintenance and work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems on plant equipment.
• Participate in Focused Improvement Teams to reduce losses.
• Develop/train technicians to grow skills and operate equipment efficiently.
