Job summary

Mars Petcare, at the Aurora, NE plant, is seeking an Area Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) to lead reliability initiatives and maintenance programs. You will collaborate with Quality Control and Operations to ensure safe, efficient production and high equipment availability.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, TPM-style improvements, and technical mentoring of maintenance staff in a fast-paced food production setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent civilian/military education.
• Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance or reliability leadership.
• Technical Skills: Advanced mechanical and electrical skills with schematics knowledge.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and develop technical teams.
• Safety: Knowledge of GMP.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability programs to ensure production quality and safety.
• Drive PM optimization and failure analyses to improve equipment reliability.
• Support project teams for CVS (Commissioning, Validation, Startup) and spare parts.Oversee external contractor work for advanced maintenance.
• Coach technicians and manage the reliability budget and expenditures.
