Job summary

Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Apprenticeship participant to learn hands-on residential maintenance in the Green Bay, WI area.

The 90-day paid program provides training across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and more, with a path to a permanent Maintenance Technician I role upon completion and a $1,000 bonus. Expect to work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, starting January 5, 2027.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and grow in residential maintenance.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Auto insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and repair a variety of residential service requests.
• Prepare apartment homes for rent by performing repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.
• Perform preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
• Document time sheets and daily maintenance logs.
• Assist with groundskeeping and landscaping to keep common areas clean.
• Assist with snow removal in winter months.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude with residents and team.

Maintenance Apprenticeship

Join a company dedicated to developing Maintenance Technicians with no prior experience! This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in a 90-day paid apprenticeship where you are provided training and comprehensive knowledge of the work that goes into multi-family property maintenance. After you have completed the 90-day paid, benefits eligible apprenticeship, you will begin a permanent position as a Maintenance Technician I. This will come with a $1000 bonus for successfully completing the apprenticeship and becoming a permanent FRED employee. The training location for the apprenticeship will be in the Green Bay, WI area.

Start Date for Program:

Apprentice program will start on Tuesday, January 5, 2027.

Here’s what you’ll learn and assist with:

• Utilizing your troubleshooting skills to respond and repair a variety of residential service requests.
• Preparing apartment homes for rent by performing various repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry wall, building exteriors, and appliances.
• Preventative maintenance tasks to eliminate untimely and costly breakdowns in equipment, appliances etc.
• Bridging the communication between the maintenance team and property manager
• Accurate documentation of time sheets, daily maintenance logs, and other checklists
• Assisting groundskeepers in assuring the grounds and common areas are kept up on landscaping and free of trash and debris.
• Responsible for the proper use of maintenance materials and equipment.
• During the winter months you will be responsible for assisting with snow removal at property.
• Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworker and general public, on and off the property in order to positively promote Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Requirements:

• Desire to learn and grow in a career of residential maintenance.
• Reliable vehicle, valid drivers license with good driving record, and auto insurance required
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 lbs. required.
