Job summary

Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc. in Wisconsin is offering a Maintenance Apprenticeship that trains you into a Maintenance Technician I. The 90-day paid program includes hands-on training and a $1000 bonus after successful completion and becoming a permanent employee.

The training location is the Oak Creek area. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with growth from Tech I to Tech II and beyond, plus leadership opportunities within our growing multi-family portfolio.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and grow in a residential maintenance career.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs and maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.
• Participate in preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Support maintenance team and communicate with property managers.
• Document time sheets and maintenance logs.
• Assist with snow removal during winter months.
• Maintain professional conduct with residents and staff.

Maintenance Apprenticeship

Join a company dedicated to developing Maintenance Technicians with no prior experience! This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in a 90-day paid apprenticeship where you are provided training and comprehensive knowledge of the work that goes into multi-family property maintenance. After you have completed the 90-day paid, benefits eligible apprenticeship, you will begin a permanent position as a Maintenance Technician I. This will come with a $1000 bonus for successfully completing the apprenticeship and becoming a permanent FRED employee. The training location for the apprenticeship will be in the Oak Creek area.

If youre interested in Leadership, the next step is a Regional Maintenance Manager followed by Director of Property Maintenance. The possibilities are endless, and we work tirelessly with our internal teams to train and promote from within.

Start Date for Program:

Apprentice program will start on Tuesday, January 5, 2027.

Here’s what you’ll learn and assist with:

• Utilizing your troubleshooting skills to respond and repair a variety of residential service requests.
• Preparing apartment homes for rent by performing various repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry wall, building exteriors, and appliances.
• Preventative maintenance tasks to eliminate untimely and costly breakdowns in equipment, appliances etc.
• Bridging the communication between the maintenance team and property manager
• Accurate documentation of time sheets, daily maintenance logs, and other checklists
• Assisting groundskeepers in assuring the grounds and common areas are kept up on landscaping and free of trash and debris.
• Responsible for the proper use of maintenance materials and equipment.
• During the winter months you will be responsible for assisting with snow removal at property.
• Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworker and general public, on and off the property in order to positively promote Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Requirements:

• Desire to learn and grow in a career of residential maintenance.
• Reliable vehicle, valid drivers license with good driving record, and auto insurance required
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 lbs. required.
