Fiduciary Real Estate Development (FRED) in Oak Creek, WI, invites you to join a 90-day paid Maintenance Apprenticeship designed to train you into a Maintenance Technician I.

The program starts Jan 5, 2027, with hands-on training across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more. Upon completion you advance to a permanent role with a $1000 bonus; benefits include health, 401(k), PTO, and rent discount.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and grow in a career of residential maintenance.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license with good driving record, and auto insurance required.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair residential service requests.
• Prepare apartment homes for rent by performing repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Perform preventative maintenance to eliminate untimely and costly breakdowns.
• Bridge communication between maintenance team and property manager.
• Assist with snow removal during winter.
• Document time sheets and maintenance logs.

After you have completed the 90-day paid, benefit’s eligible apprenticeship, you will begin a permanent position as a Maintenance Technician I. This will come with a $1000 bonus for successfully completing the apprenticeship and becoming a permanent FRED employee.
