Job summary

Lightning Nutraceuticals LLC in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Sanitation Technician to keep our production equipment running and our facility audit-ready.

You’ll work with the Blending, Encapsulation, Packaging, and QC teams to minimize downtime, perform cleaning and changeovers, and maintain documentation for compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of maintenance or sanitation experience in manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to follow written SOPs and keep accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and operate around machinery.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including blenders, encapsulation machines, bottling and capping lines, labelers, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and make repairs to reduce downtime.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and adjustments between production runs.
• Maintain facility systems such as lighting, HVAC filters, compressors, dust collection, and general building upkeep.
• Track parts and supplies and flag reorder needs.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, rooms, and common areas according to SOPs and cleaning schedules.
• Perform full cleanings between product runs, with attention to allergen changeovers.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble equipment parts.
• Manage waste removal and keep the facility orderly and pest-free.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Complete cleaning logs, maintenance records, and equipment checklists accurately and on time.
• Follow cGMP, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
• Support QC during line clearances, inspections, and audits.
• Report safety hazards, equipment problems, and process concerns promptly.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on Maintenance & Sanitation Technician to keep our production equipment running and our facility clean, safe, and audit‑ready. You’ll work closely with our Blending, Encapsulation, Packaging, and QC teams to minimize downtime, carry out cleaning and changeovers, and maintain the documentation that keeps us compliant.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 1 to 2+ years of maintenance or sanitation experience in manufacturing, preferably food, pharmaceutical, or supplement production
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools
• Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Ability to follow written SOPs and keep accurate records
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Reliable and punctual, able to work independently and with a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and work around machinery
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Experience with encapsulation, blending, or bottling equipment
• Familiarity with cGMP, allergen control, or sanitation programs
• Basic welding, fabrication, or plumbing skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
