We are a large metal recycling company seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of heavy industrial equipment used in demanding operating environments in our Mobile, Alabama site.
This role is ideal for a top-tier mechanic who can independently diagnose complex mechanical and hydraulic problems, perform high-quality repairs, and keep critical equipment running safely and reliably.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience working on equipment such as front-end loaders, material handlers, forklifts, and skid steers, with strong troubleshooting abilities in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with brands such as Liebherr, Fuchs, Sennebogen, Volvo and Bobcat is a plus.
Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for managing work orders and supporting spare parts inventory is important for this role.
Must be knowledgeable of the 5S system for managing tools and equipment.
Some evening and weekend hours may be required. This role will also be supporting the region between Gulfport and Pensacola, when needed. So, travel will be required and company vehicle will be provided.
