Job summary

EMR Group USA in New Orleans, LA seeks an experienced Mechanic to maintain heavy equipment at our metal recycling yard on Florida Ave. This full-time role requires hands-on work with loaders, excavators, conveyors, and trucks.

You will perform planned maintenance, diagnose issues, and install parts to keep our processing lines running. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills, with at least five years of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience repairing metal processing equipment and trucks is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heavy equipment such as material handlers, front-end loaders, excavators, and conveyor belts.
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance procedures including fuel and lubrication, inspecting and testing, diagnosing malfunctions, dismantling and reassembling, and installing parts.
• Work on facility conveyor belts and other machinery.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs on metal processing equipment and trucks.

Job Summary

The role requires flexibility to work on heavy equipment as well as machinery, and to maintain equipment through planned and preventative maintenance procedures.
