Job summary

EMR is a leading metal recycling company seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator at our Mobile, AL depot. You will operate material handler and excavator equipment, perform inspections, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling in a dynamic recycling environment.

The ideal candidate can lift up to 50 lbs, works well independently or with a team, and is committed to safety and reliability in all weather conditions. Eligible applicants must pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with material handlers or excavators is a plus.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Must pass criminal background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold).

Responsibilities

• Complete daily equipment reports.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.

We are seeking a full‑time Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Mobile, AL depot. In this role, you will operate heavy equipment such as material handlers and excavators to assist with metal recycling operations, perform equipment inspections, and ensure safe and efficient material handling.
