Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join the Upholstery Division in Newton, NC.

The role involves routine maintenance, corrective repairs, and troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in industrial maintenance, strong DC/AC electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong experience as a technician in an industrial environment.
• Strong DC and AC electrical skills.
• Strong pneumatic and mechanical skills.
• Clean driving record.
• Welding and basic fabrication experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures and electrical systems in an industrial environment.
• Visually inspect/test machinery and equipment to diagnose problems; repair defective/malfunctioning portions of systems.
• Install, program or repair automated machinery and equipment such as CNC routers.
• Assemble new or modified mechanical components for routers and power equipment.
• Perform/assist with repairs to dust collection system, including climbing silo for system repairs.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, such as weed eating, mowing, parking lot maintenance, etc.
• Drive the company dump truck to the landfill.
