Job summary

Tel Hai in Honey Brook, PA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the evening shift (3-11:30pm), Tuesday through Saturday, on a full‑time basis. The role involves hands‑on maintenance of electrical, HVAC, life safety, and other building systems to support our residents.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of electrical equipment, lighting, power distribution, ventilation, and air conditioning.
• PA Driver’s License with at least 2 years driving experience.
• Trade or technical school (or equivalent experience) required.
• Must have the ability to work productively with minimum or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs hands‑on work for indoor and outdoor building maintenance including electrical, HVAC, major equipment, life safety systems, and emergency systems under the direction of the Director.
• Performs preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance repairs as directed.
• Performs snow removal and ice prevention tasks as directed.
• Moves residents and community‑owned furniture and stores in a neat and orderly fashion to prevent damage as required.
• Responds to emergency calls when requested.

Maintenance Responsibilities Include

• Performs hands‑on work for indoor and outdoor building maintenance including electrical, HVAC, major equipment, life safety systems, and emergency systems under the direction of the Director. Also performs and completes wheelchair and medical equipment repairs.
• Performs preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance repairs as directed.
• Performs snow removal and ice prevention tasks as directed.
• Moves residents and community‑owned furniture and stores in a neat and orderly fashion to prevent damage as required.
• Responds to emergency calls when requested.
• Performs security rounds of the entire campus.
• Set‑ups for special events and assists with trash removal as requested.

Requirements

Maintenance Qualifications

• Valid PA Driver’s License with at least 2 years driving experience required.
• Trade or technical school (or equivalent experience) required.
• Must have the ability to work productively with minimum or no supervision.
