Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to perform a range of upkeep tasks across our apartment communities. You will handle make-ready work, inspections, and shop organization while ensuring a clean, safe living environment for residents.

Ideal candidates have property maintenance experience and strong mechanical knowledge, with essential electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills to handle diverse projects. On-call responsibilities may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community.
• Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors.
• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
• Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare.
• Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned

Job description

Our Property Maintenance Technician are responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as: painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
