Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. in Atlanta is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to maintain the apartment community’s appearance and operational integrity, ensuring a clean, comfortable environment for residents and visitors.

The role involves make-ready tasks (painting, appliance/plumbing/electrical work, part repairs, bulb replacement, locks), regular inspections, and inventory management for tools and supplies. Flexibility for after-hours emergencies is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community.
• Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors.
• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
• Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare.
• Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned.
