Job summary

The Town of Groton is seeking a Parks Maintenance staff member to support municipal grounds upkeep on a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Starting pay is $27.12 per hour with a posted range of $27.12 to $34.84 per hour; qualifications include two years of full-time experience and a valid motor vehicle license; preferred candidates have experience with trade tools and equipment. Application deadline is October 19, 2026.

POSITION RANGE:

$27.12 - $34.84 / hour

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two (2) years full time work experience. Ability to read and comprehend procedures, policies, documents, and directives that are necessary to the safe performance of the job.

Valid Motor Vehicle License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred skills include experience operating everyday trade equipment, such as power tools, chainsaws, power mowers, carpentry gear, and masonry tools.

Additionally, experience driving pickup trucks and towing trailers is a strong plus.
