Job summary

Thunderbolt Solutions seeks a Maintainability Engineer to perform RM&A data collection and analysis for the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) and ORTS programs on US Navy ships, with 20–30% travel.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, DoD Secret clearance eligibility, and hands-on data work using Excel and Power BI. Travel to land-based sites and ships is expected to support program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
• Background in Aegis Weapon System (AWS) and ORTS programs.
• Must possess or be eligible for DoD Secret clearance.
• Tasking includes visiting U.S. Navy ships/vessels.

Responsibilities

• Support RM&A data collection and fault-list development with ISEAs.
• Assist in event planning with test site personnel and ISEAs.
• Communicate event planning, execution, and results to the program office.
• Support land-based developmental testing data collection and shipboard testing.
• Record and evaluate system faults using AWS and ORTS knowledge.
• Coordinate Data Scoring Boards and participate in data analysis Working Groups.
• Review ship/system concepts, data deliverables, and comment on reliability and maintainability.
• Perform data analysis with Excel, Power BI and other programs, format data for dashboards.
• Develop RMA assessment plans with government and industry partners.
• Travel to land-based and shipboard sites, in port and underway.
