Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment in a hazardous waste material processing facility. You will perform preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment used in hazardous waste material processing and handling operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and related equipment.
• Identify and resolve equipment issues to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while working with hazardous materials and industrial equipment.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial mechanical systems and equipment.

• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment systems.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a hazardous waste material processing facility with exposure to industrial equipment, noise, dust, varying temperatures, and regulated materials. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided. The role involves physical activity including lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and working in elevated or confined spaces as needed.
