Suburban Volvo Cars, part of Lithia & Driveway, seeks Mainline Technicians in Troy, MI. This fast-paced role offers growth within a Fortune 200 company with opportunities across 300+ Lithia & Driveway dealerships.

Qualified candidates have 2–5 years of dealership or private shop experience, ASE and manufacturer certifications, and proficiency with diagnostic tools. You’ll perform brake, suspension, and electrical diagnostics to keep vehicles safely on the road.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of dealership or private shop experience.
• ASE and manufacturer certifications.
• Experience using scan tools and service information systems.
• Ability to independently perform brake, suspension, and steering repairs.
• Proficient in engine maintenance and basic electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose causes of malfunction and complete work per safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Document work performed on repair orders, test procedures and time.
• Maintain and inventory standard mechanic tools.

Who We're Looking For:

• Class B and/or C level technicians with 2-5 years of experience in a dealership or private shop
• Up-to-date ASE and manufacturer certifications
• Experience using scan tools and service information systems
• Ability to independently perform brake, suspension, and steering repairs
• Proficient in engine maintenance and basic electrical diagnostics
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence

What You'll Do:

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose cause of malfunction and complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work
• Document work performed on repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools
