Job summary

Cavender Subaru of Midland Odessa in Midland, Texas is seeking a Mainline Service Technician to join our growing team. If you are passionate about automotive repair, committed to excellence, and thrive in a trust-based environment, you will fit in well here.

You will perform repairs, test-drive vehicles, and diagnose a range of automotive systems while upholding dealership standards. We value integrity, ownership, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a service technician is required.
• Strong automotive background is essential.
• ASE certifications are preferred by the manufacturer.
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs per the repair order and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional services and time estimates.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs; complete tasks timely.
• Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specs; maintain safe work area.
• Adhere to safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management

Here Is What You Will Need

• Previous experience as a service technician required
• Strong automotive background
• Manufacture ASE certifications preferred
