Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Midland is seeking skilled Service Technicians to join our Cavender Auto Family team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to dealership standards, test components with diagnostic tools, and communicate repair needs to the Service Advisor.

A strong automotive background and valid license are required, along with MVR/background checks and pre-employment drug testing. We offer incentives including tuition reimbursement, sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance,

Qualifications

• Experience as a service technician required.
• Strong automotive background.
• Submit to MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work on vehicles per the repair order and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Provide estimates for additional repairs and communicate with the Service Advisor.
• Complete tasks timely and maintain accurate service records.
• Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Incentives we are offering:

• If you are a recent graduate of an accredited technical school (graduated within the last 24 month) $625 per month tuition reimbursement for 2 year ($15,000 in total)
• Aggressive sign on bonuses with guaranteed hours - up to $15,000 based on level, and certifications.

Here is what you will be doing:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management

Here is what you will need:

• Previous experience as a service technician required
• Strong automotive background
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license
