Job summary

Cavender Ford of OKC, part of Cavender Auto Family, is seeking a talented Light Line Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team. You will perform repair orders, test-drive vehicles, diagnose and repair automotive systems, and communicate with customers about additional work and time estimates.

The role requires prior dealership service experience, a strong automotive background, and the ability to pass MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug testing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a service technician in a dealership is required.
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional needed repairs and provide time estimates.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Execute repairs under warranty per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management

Here Is What You Will Need

• Previous experience as a service technician in a dealership required
• Strong automotive background
