Job summary

Chapman Automotive Group in Tucson, AZ is seeking experienced Mainline Service Technicians to join our team. Our technicians perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair work across engine, electrical, steering, suspension and climate systems, while documenting findings and communicating needed services to the Service Advisor.

You will work closely with the Service Advisors and Parts Department, adhere to dealership standards, and complete warranty repairs per manufacturer specs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive service technician experience.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass apre-employment drug screening and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Communicate additional services needed to the Service Advisor with time estimates.
• Execute work per dealership standards and complete warranty repair work per manufacturer specifications.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Communicate additional services needed to the Service Advisor, providing an estimate of time needed to complete additional repairs.
• Execute work specified on the repair order per dealership standards.
• Complete warranty repair work in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Thoroughly document vehicle inspection findings and maintenance recommendations.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• 2+ years of automotive service technician experience.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications are a huge plus!
• Demonstrates thorough workmanship coupled with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• General computer skills.
• Must have your own tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass apre-employment drug screening and a background check.
