Job summary

Chapman Automotive Group in Tucson, AZ is seeking experienced Mainline Service Technicians to join our team. You will perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle systems, work closely with Service Advisors and the Parts Department, and report to the Service Manager.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of automotive service experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive service technician experience.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with thorough workmanship.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• General computer skills and tool readiness.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Communicate additional services needed to the Service Advisor, providing an estimate of time needed to complete additional repairs.
• Execute work specified on the repair order per dealership standards.
• Complete warranty repair work in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Thoroughly document vehicle inspection findings and maintenance recommendations.
