Job summary

Accenture Flex is seeking a seasoned mainframe modernization specialist to map legacy systems to cloud architectures and drive migration strategies. You will analyze COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS, while collaborating with FIS Systematics and system integrators to translate legacy designs into cloud-ready solutions.

Applicants should have extensive experience in data mapping, documentation, and SDLC practices, with strong communication skills for stakeholder alignment across banking environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS.
• Direct working experience with FIS Systematics and its core modules.
• Experience in legacy systems analysis and system-to-system mapping.
• Experience on an application modernization or cloud migration program.
• Ability to translate legacy constructs into cloud-compatible designs.
• Strong written documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document current state Systematics architecture including modules and data flows.
• Map legacy application and data structures to Oracle cloud core banking components.
• Contribute to migration and modernization strategy.
• Translate COBOL/JCL/VSAM/CICS constructs into target state designs.
• Support data mapping to cloud data models and reconciliation.
• Produce mapping specifications and migration artifacts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and system integrators to ensure business rules hold.
