Job summary

Accenture Flex is seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer to support the modernization of a core banking platform from FIS Systematics to a cloud-native architecture. The role centers on application and data mapping current state systems and close collaboration with cloud data and integration teams through a multi-year coexistence period.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years hands-on mainframe experience (COBOL/JCL/VSAM/CICS).
Direct experience with FIS Systematics and its core modules.
Experience in legacy system analysis and system-to-system mapping.
Experience on an application modernization or cloud migration program.
Ability to translate legacy technical constructs into cloud compatible designs.
Strong written documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze and document current state Systematics architecture including modules, data flows and batch cycles.
Map legacy applications and data structures to Oracle cloud core banking components.
Contribute to migration and modernization strategy and artifacts.
Translate COBOL/JCL/VSAM/CICS constructs into target state designs.
Support data mapping and transformation for dual-core coexistence in cloud.
Produce mapping specs, interface definitions and migration artifacts.
Partner with stakeholders to confirm target state designs meet business rules.
Support testing, validation and defect resolution across migration phases.
Adhere to SDLC quality and change control standards.
