Job summary

Acestack is seeking a skilled Mainframe Storage Admin to join our remote, full-time team. You will manage storage systems, ensure high availability, and provide 24/7 operational support for mainframe storage and related utilities.

You will work with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780, DFSMS, and mainframe storage tooling to install, configure, and optimize disaster recovery, capacity planning, and performance tuning. On-call rotations and DR drills are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mainframe storage hardware and software.
• Proficient with DFSMS, SMP/E, IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM, PARMLIB/PROCLIB.
• Experience with DR drills and 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Setup and manage mainframe storage replication.
• Provide 24/7 operational support and on-call troubleshooting.
• Lead disaster recovery activities and DR drills.
• Advise development teams on storage requirements.

Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780,

Hitachi HUR

DFSMS suite, CA-1

FDR/ABR

SMP/E in depth knowledge to do install work on ISV products

Setup and Manage Mainframe DC Storage Replication

IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM, Mainframe Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning

PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation and maintenance

Experience in Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills.

Provide 24/7 operational support for Mainframe storage systems and associated utilities.

Perform Mainframe storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience.

Provide technical guidance and advice to application development teams on need basis

On-Call support for any mainframe storage related issues troubleshooting
