Job summary

Realign Llc in the United States seeks a seasoned Mainframe Storage Engineer to own maintenance, recovery, and DR readiness for storage systems. You will work with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780, and related tools to ensure high availability across environments.

This role requires hands-on SMP/E, IODF/IOCDS, PARMLIB/PROCLIB management, and capacity planning. You will provide 24/7 on-call support, guide application teams, and conduct DR drills to validate resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational support for Mainframe storage systems and associated utilities.
• Perform Mainframe storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability.
• Provide technical guidance to application development teams on need basis.
• On-Call support for any mainframe storage related issues troubleshooting.
• Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780,
• SMP/E – in depth knowledge to do install work on ISV products
• Setup and Manage Mainframe DC Storage Replication
• IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM, Mainframe Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning
• PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation and maintenance
• Experience in Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills.
• Provide 24/7 operational support for Mainframe storage systems and associated utilities.
• Perform Mainframe storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Provide technical guidance and advice to application development teams on need basis
