Responsibilities

Administer and support IBM mainframe storage in a 24x7 enterprise environment.
Manage DASD storage with Hitachi Disk Storage (HDS/VSP, USP, VSP G Series).
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Virtual Tape Systems (VTS/VTL) and physical tape environments.
Perform storage allocation, provisioning, migration, and reclamation activities.
Administer DFSMS, SMS policies, Client routines, and storage groups.
Monitor storage utilization and perform capacity planning to optimize performance.
Support backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
Perform storage performance analysis and tuning for optimal system performance.
Coordinate storage-related software and hardware upgrades.
Troubleshoot storage incidents and resolve complex production issues.
