Job summary

HonorVet Technologies is seeking an experienced Mainframe Expert to support and maintain enterprise mainframe systems in Raleigh, NC. The role requires extensive hands-on work with z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL, Endevor, and SQL, along with configuration and release management.

The ideal candidate will optimize performance, evaluate complex SQL queries, and possess familiarity with MQ and middleware technologies. This is a 12-month, onsite engagement with in-person interviews.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with z/OS operating system administration and support.
• 7+ years of experience providing Endevor configuration and release management support.
• 7+ years of experience with SQL programming and query optimization.
• 7+ years of experience supporting DB2 tools and utilities.
• Strong experience evaluating and tuning complex SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Experience with CICS administration, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with IMS, JCL, Elixir, and other mainframe technologies.
• Familiarity with MQ and middleware technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support enterprise mainframe systems.
• Configure release management processes and integrate Endevor workflows.
• Tune and optimize SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Troubleshoot CICS issues and perform debugging as needed.
• Work with MQ and middleware technologies when applicable.
