Job summary

accel bi corporation is seeking an experienced Mainframe Technical Specialist to support a large government-related technology initiative in North Carolina. This 100% onsite role requires deep expertise in z/OS, DB2, CICS, Endevor, and SQL performance tuning.

The right candidate will work with development and infrastructure teams to maintain enterprise mainframe systems, ensure stability, and optimize performance while meeting security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Mainframe Systems experience.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS Operating System.
• Experience with CICS.
• DB2, IMS, JCL, SQL.
• Experience providing Endevor configuration and release management.
• Ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting CICS environments.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer enterprise mainframe environments.
• Provide Endevor configuration and release management guidance.
• Support DB2 databases and related utilities.
• Review and optimize SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Provide CICS administration, troubleshooting, and debugging support.
• Collaborate with development teams on system and application issues.
• Ensure system stability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• All work must be performed onsite.
• Extended planned absences may require prior approval.
• Candidate must be able to attend an in-person interview if requested.
• Candidate should be available to start as soon as possible upon selection.
